As a pelvic-health physical therapist, I help individuals dealing with bladder, bowel, sexual dysfunction, and pelvic pain. This includes assessing and treating a range of pelvic conditions such as painful intercourse including vaginismus, pelvic pain, endometriosis, urinary urgency and frequency, interstitial cystitis, urinary leakage, overactive bladder, pudendal neuralgia, constipation, and pelvic organ prolapse, among others. I also provide rehabilitation for post-surgical recovery, pregnancy, and postpartum care.

During your initial visit, I will perform a comprehensive evaluation of your posture, movement, and the motility of your pelvic and abdominal organs, as well as the function of various joints, muscles, and nerves in your body. The treatment options that I offer include manual therapy, visceral manipulation, craniosacral therapy, nervous system regulation, pain management, postural adjustments, and strength and conditioning exercises, all tailored to your body’s specific needs.

I use gentle pressure techniques to determine the existence of possible restrictions in your fascial system. Gentle touch and fascial release can help muscles and organs naturally relieve stress, improving overall function.

This will include a comprehensive assessment of your posture, movement, various joints, muscles, and nerves of your body to get to the root cause of your condition. We will start by taking your detailed medical history, along with any concerns you might have and goals you would like to achieve. We will then work together to connect the dots from that assessment plus life factors such as nutrition, sleep, work, and your overall environment to create an individualized plan of care.

Treatments I offer range from yoga-based exercises targeting the specific muscles and joints that need improved mobility, nervous system regulation & pain management through breathing exercises, including diaphragmatic breathing, various somatic awareness exercises, nerve flossing exercises, postural modifications, to strength & conditioning exercises for your unique body type to meet its needs.

Education for self-release of the pelvic floor with a wand/dilator will also be included.
